Brook Benton's, "The Boll Weevil Song"
The Insincere Lyrics:
We ain't gonna do you much harm.
You better sell all your old machines--'cause when we get through with your cotton, you can't even buy gasoline!
Farmer, I wanna wish you well!
Why They're Insincere:
The meaning of the second line clearly marks the first and third lines as insincere. 'Not much harm,' eh? It's small wonder that after the boll weevil says, 'I wanna wish you well,' the farmer replies, 'I wish you were in--' [not hard to guess what the omitted word is!]
