U2's, "City Of Blinding Lights"
The Inappropriate Lyrics:
Look ugly in a photograph
Why They're Inappropriate:
Why do you want her picture to look ugly?

U2's, "Pride in the Name of Love"
The Inappropriate Lyrics:
Early morning, April four,
shot rings out in the Memphis sky.
Why They're Inappropriate:
Technically, it occurred in the evening, during the 6 p.m. hour, local time. Therefore it would be more appropriate to say "Early evening." However, according to Wikopedia, Bono has acknowledged the mistake, and when he performs the song live, he often uses "evening" instead of "morning" (but not always!).

U2's, "Sunday Bloody Sunday"
The Inappropriate Lyrics:
Broken bottles under children's feet
Why They're Inappropriate:
I just don't get it! I never understood it since I first heard the song, in fact. This song is supposed to be about the wars in northern Ireland, and bottles have nothing at all to do with war! Broken bottles? It makes no sense with the song.

U2's, "The Ground Beneath Her Feet"
The Inappropriate Lyrics:
Go lightly down your darkened way
Go lightly underground
I'll be down there in another day
I won't rest until you're f-found
Why They're Inappropriate:
This song is supposed to be sweet and innocent, but take a look at these lyrics. It sounds like he's saying he'll sleep with her tomorrow but tonight she can satisfy her own needs. Hint: "darkened way". And note the pause between "I won't rest until you're f-" and "ound". What do you think Bono almost said?
