I am responding to 'Argh's' post: This makes sense... I find that one has to look into the words in an alterted perspective. incubated: To form or consider slowly and protectively, as if hatching: incubated the idea for a while, then announced it. Bitter: Difficult or distasteful to accept, admit, or bear: the bitter truth; bitter sorrow. Ticket: A paper slip or card indicating that its holder has paid for or is entitled to a specified service, right, or consideration: a theater ticket; an airline ticket. and A list of candidates proposed or endorsed by a political party; a slate. ---- I think he is saying that people sit and think about something, be it an election, and with difficulty they chose upon a president, perhaps. In the word God, I believe he is symbolizing a leader ... like a piggy in a fair: pigs are at fairs... usually in the barns, all locked up... or, he could also be saying that they are hungry to go on a ride that doesn't go anywhere. --- I could go on with a few other ideas but that's what I have quickly put together for you.

This is in Response to 'Argh's' post: These are all related... he is talking about God. I think that he isn't sorry about death... he belives that we are free in death... a later quote 'he valley of death we are free your father's your prison you see'
