Song Parodies -> Recordings -> Professor Incubus, 'The Sound Of Sirens' Comments

Feb 11
a parody of "The Sound Of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel
This parody was inspired by how my life was over 6 years ago, when I was in the grips of alcoholism and dealing with the consequences that came from it. I have heard the sounds of sirens 3 times in my life. I am proud to say that I have not heard them in over six years because I have been clean and sober.

Glad you've managed to stay clean. Congratulations. You've made a better PSA on DUI than anybody else. Vince Neil of Motley Crue was cajoled into doing his TV ad. You did yours totally on your own. You're a survivor. Maybe you should contact Art Garfunkel and Paul Simon for copywrite permission to use this for an ad. Great job. Nobody makes better PSAs on substance abuse than people who've been thru it all, and beat it. Keep it up.
