Song Parodies -> Recordings -> Mikey Squirrel, 'Flintstone Cartoon' Comments

June 8
a parody of "Rhinestone Cowboy" by Glen Campbell
A humorous song about life in Bedrock with everyone's favorite stone-age family done with a country music twist. My second 'parody-oke' video and performance, just Yabba-Dabba-Do it!

This was really well done, Mikey.

I wish I knew how you did this, because it looks like a lot of work, but it also looks like a lot of fun! Please let me know how you did this so I can take a crack at my own. This was specatular!

Well, Matthias, all I did was record the parody to a karaoke version I got, used Adobe Premiere and stitched together a bunch of clips from the Flintstones. That was it. Sounds easy, but it took me a while to get it right. But, yea, it was fun!

It was a super bit of stitching -especially some of the overlayed Flintstones sounds. Seems to me you could possibly have done better singing an octave lower, though ;-)

POTM Phil's right. The cartoon footage was used excellently, but the vocals sounded odd.

(POTM) Not bad. . .but your first one was noticeably better quality wise. . .keep on doing it though:)

(potm) footage was wonderful - made me recall what was so endearing about the TV show, and the editing was lovely, with the footage sounds coming in at just the right moments, not detracting from your lyrics - a nice clever sub for "Rhinestone Cowboy" would have made it perfect although that would have been a hard get - great job, Mikey
