Provo is the home of BYU and other strange phenomena. Blame Shrek 2 for dusting off this ditty. - Robert Lund

I don't get it...
Is it just me or does robert lund sound a lot like weird al in this one? It sounded like an amish paradise for mormons i guess that's what it was supposed to be.
I was thinking exactly the same thing, Ethan. It's a really great parody, though.
Thanx, guys. Hmm - I wonder - if Ricky Martin did a Weird Al imitation, would he sound like Eddie Murphy?
And to Monkeyface and anyone else who doesn't get this: I understand. It was written mainly for people familiar with "Utah culture" (for lack of a better oxymoron). So I apologize for pitching the humor low and inside.

This was awesome! 555!
To Monkeyface, Ethan and Charlie - Utah is a little different than most other states. Not in a bad way, it's just different here. And this parody nails that right on the head. I sent it to my fellow Utahn friends, and they howled with laughter. I give it 5 funeral potatoes, 5 Seventies, and 5 MAV's.
This is especially entertaining growing up with all the Mormons in our neighborhood.
Thanx, Jackie & Xinu!
And Sister Ass: MAV took me a minute - Mormon Assault Vehicle? Heh heh.

Oh...my GOD that is hysterical! And nails it on the head. I lived in Salt Lake for 6 years and worked in Provo for one. While I miss the scenery and the weather, I do not miss the culture of which I am not a part and was reminded of it on a daily basis in some form or fashion.
Thanx, Tom. And never fear - we'll bring the culture back to you when we all gather in Jackson County.
Though i'm from not so far away, and am a Mormon, to boot, i love this sort of stuff. "Sort" of stuff that is. Have to disagree with Tom. Heard funnier Mormon one liners in movies. Seemed kinda bland. 8^(
I just striked me that "Livin in Provo Utah" is another possible substitute for "Living next door to Alice" (By Smokie). I guess you´ll have to wait another 47 years though, until enough new stuff has happened there for a revisitation of the subject. :-)
Peter chyd: Maybe by then the Provo International Airport that Chevy Chase visited in "Fletch" will actually exist.
Flarch: Dude, I hear ya on those Mormon movies. "Man's Search for Happiness"? "Testaments"? "The Godmakers"? HI. FREAKING. LARIOUS.

i live near provo. and i thought about it for awhile, and the Y on the mountain needs the question mark. but why make fun of mormons? I FEEL SO HATED!!!!!
Boy does that song take me back! It was almost like I was in Utah again. Great song!
This song is really funny PARODIES RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS IS SO FUUNNNNNNNNNNNY!
hmm - Living the crazy life to Living in Provo Utah. Hmm. Good.
This is one of the greatest parodys on the net!
I think it is safe to say that Mr. Spaff Dotcom knows his stuff.
Ha. It's especially funny to me because im Mormon, but really is a lot of our life style.....weird, it sounds funnier hearing it to a squealy man's voice. Although i live in Nv not Utah, i still understand and find it humorous.
There's so much 'reality' in this that it's just too real. Probably why I quit the morg, but have the General Administrators (Propheteers)spoke to you about this?
Woah, this is right on. It makes humorous what can sometimes be tedious, or even nerve-wracking. Especially as a missionary, bringing a visitor to Testimony meeting always put me on edge because I never knew what sorts of things were going to be offered up from those who got up to speak. Granted, a real testimony is something different, that's not what we're talking about here. These are more like testi-stories. Very funny, very true . . . I'd be interested to hear the rest of his CD.
This is fantasteek.
