Good song...the band was very good too (I need to work on the band myself)

Agreed, on both counts - though one of these days I'm going to have to try and record myself live in front of an audience: I always seem to sing better that way

Thanks, Phil and Jeff. The band and I did an entire 45 minute folk concert at work, but only one of our numbers was a parody. Can you guess what kinds of instruments are playing in the band (there are four of us)?

Thanks, Billy. The original song, "Dead Skunk, " was a zany novelty song from 1972 by Loudon Wainwright III, about road kill. The band is me singing lead vocal playing an electrified autoharp, accompanied by a fiddle and two acoustic guitars.

The original is pretty funny as well, I have it on an old Dr. Demento CD.

BOOORIIING! Songs about roadkill are funny. Songs about pollution are not. Even when you aren't spewing hatred, Tong, your satires blow!
