Song Parodies -> More of Me
| Original Song Title: | "All of Me" |
| Original Performer: | Willie Nelson |
| Parody Song Title: | "More of Me" |
| Parody Written by: | Patrick McWilliams |
Looking back over my previous entries, I notice a certain fascination with the process of cloning. Being the conservative that I am, I thought I would go back to the old fashioned method of making new human life, you know, by gathering up leftover parts from hospitals and graveyards and jolting them with electricity. While I was sorting through the organs, I found a whole bunch of extra words too, and created some additional verses. "All of Me" is an old standard dating back to the 1930's. I just happen to like Willie Nelson's rendition. It has a lot of instrumental breaks I can hang my new lyrics on.
More of me, I made some more of me
Logically, I'm nothing without me
Found some heads no one was using
Box of limbs, mine for the choosing
Good supply, plenty of eyes and thighs
Taking the time to sew them together
I took these parts, and added the hearts
And I made some more of me
Just like me, comPATibility
Not some gal who just wants my money
Molding their faces and features
Quite an assortment of creatures
Multiply! A "she" for every "I"
Both the maker and the matchmaker
I once had a dream, now I am a team
Since I made some more of me
Friend of mine, old Doctor Frankenstein
Mentor was he, and inspiration
Harvesting organs for science
Each jolt an act of defiance
In his lab, lying there on the slab
Rewriting the laws of creation
Took flesh, blood and bones, before there were clones
And helped me make more of me
Woe is me! Someone is strangling me!
It's not nice to fool Mother Nature
Just like the classical story
Things are about to turn gory
Hands to spec, circling around my neck
Must be a glitch in the program
My custom-built bride has her darker side
Soon there'll be no more of me
Logically, I'm nothing without me
Found some heads no one was using
Box of limbs, mine for the choosing
Good supply, plenty of eyes and thighs
Taking the time to sew them together
I took these parts, and added the hearts
And I made some more of me
Just like me, comPATibility
Not some gal who just wants my money
Molding their faces and features
Quite an assortment of creatures
Multiply! A "she" for every "I"
Both the maker and the matchmaker
I once had a dream, now I am a team
Since I made some more of me
Friend of mine, old Doctor Frankenstein
Mentor was he, and inspiration
Harvesting organs for science
Each jolt an act of defiance
In his lab, lying there on the slab
Rewriting the laws of creation
Took flesh, blood and bones, before there were clones
And helped me make more of me
Woe is me! Someone is strangling me!
It's not nice to fool Mother Nature
Just like the classical story
Things are about to turn gory

Must be a glitch in the program
My custom-built bride has her darker side
Soon there'll be no more of me
