The Lyrics

On the first month of inspections, IST found for me
Not a trace of a WMD

On the second month's inspections, IST found for me
Two buried jets
But not a trace of a WMD

On the third month's inspections, IST found for me
Three mobile labs
Two buried jets
...yet no trace of a WMD

On the fourth month's inspections, IST found for me
Four drums of.. something
Three mobile labs
Two buried jets
...still no trace of a WMD

On the fifth month's inspections, IST found for me
Five false alarms
etc.

On the sixth month's inspections, IST found for me
Six papers (shredded)
etc.

On the seventh month's inspections, IST found for me
Seven missiles (missing)

On the eighth month's inspections, IST found for me
Eight empty shellsuits [editor's note: you mean shell cases, right?]

On the ninth month's inspections, IST found for me
Nine nukes (not really)

On the tenth month's inspections, IST found for me
Ten bites of botox

On the eleventh month's inspections, IST found for me
Eleven elves on acid

On the twelfth month's inspections, IST found for me
SADDAM HUSSEIN!

Thanks, all... It made me smile, though you can probably guess that I was running out by eleven... I wrote this just before Christmas, and was hoping they'd find something worthwhile for the last verse: I know it wasn't IST that found Hussein, but it rounds it off nicely.

'Four drums of something' just makes me laugh, and I don't know why. For the 8th month you might have tried 'metal jackets'. Delightfully wacked-out.

Yes, that would have been a good eighth verse, Jay: didn't even cross my mind.
