The Lyrics

Wreck the malls and rip off Foley's,
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.
Holy mackerel, guacamole,
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.
Carry cash, your life's in peril,
Fa-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la.
Roll 'em like their in a barrel,
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.

Watch those crazy fools don't floor us,
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.
Knives are sharp can make us porous,
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.
Shopping used to be such leisure,
Fa-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la.
Bring some mace protection measure,
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.

Sales clerks greet you with rude sasses,
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
They're all rude and act like asses,
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.
Gangsters used to all wear leather,
Fa-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la.
Mindless now they stalk and gather.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.

Good parody (except I had to ditch the Aussie accent to make it all rhyme).

Hee hee hee! This reminds me of the time my boyfriend went Xmas shopping at "Bed Bath and Beyond" some crazy lady and he were going for the same last item and she scratched him and drew blood. Since then, we have refered to it as "Bloodbath and Beyond." Good work. ;-)

Bob Rivers did "Wreck the Malls". It's on "Twisted Christmas". How much more of a point do you want?

This song reminded me of the scene in the original Blues Brothers movie where they drove into a shopping mall to avoid the police. Great job!!!

When I was a kid, there was a Muppets Magazine, and one of their Christmas songs went, "Wreck the malls, and how, by golly! Smash each bike and game and dolly! Why such ripping, tearing, chopping? Animal is Christmas shopping! (With "Fa-la-la-la-la" replaced by "Argh-a-argh-a-argh!")

And it could be worse, Leah: He could've gone to Bed, Bath & Bayonne! Or would that be a contradiction?

Nice job Guy but I gotta admit I also got a kick out of "Bloodbath and Beyond"

A few years ago I received a Christmas card that pictured cows in black leather jackets riding motorcycles. Inside it read, "Wreck the malls with cows on Harleys". Keep 'em coming, Guy!

He-He, I like that. You hear this WM and DIva? Fresh cannon fodder.

The image of cows wearing leather jackets and riding motorcycles through a mall is very amusing. The image remind's me of those "Chic Filet" commercials...LOL!

Yes, Bob Rivers did a "Wreck The Malls" first, but I like this guy's song even more! Great minds think alike.

Thanks Agrimorfee and I'll get out on a limb and say that I really have never heard or heard about that parody by Bob Rivers until I wrote this one. I have only been doing serious parody (oxymornon) since May 2003. I'm not even sure who Bob Rivers is, but I probably should know. I do know who Al Y. is though.

And my thanks to the rest of you who commented and voted. ;-)

Just to prove he didn't rip it off, here's Bob Rivers' version: Wreck the malls this Christmas season Fa-la-la-la-la, La-la-la-la; Blow your cash for no good reason Fa-la-la-la-la, La-la-la-la; Push your charge card to the limit Fa-la-la, La-la-la, La-la-la; Checkbook now has nothing in it. Fa-la-la-la-la, La-la-la-la; Wreck the malls with my friend Charlie Fa-la-la-la-la, La-la-la-la; Drive to K-Mart on his holly Fa-la-la-la-la, La-la-la-la; Tamper with their muzak system Fa-la-la, La-la-la, La-la-la; Trade something for Twisted Sister Fa-la-la-la-la, La-la-la-la. Wreck the pet store, do some damage Fa-la-la-la-la, La-la-la-la; Send the beagles on a rampage Fa-la-la-la-la, La-la-la-la; Acting in an uncouth manner Fa-la-la, La-la-la, La-la-la; Drop your pants and moon at Santa Fa-la-la-la-la, La-la-la-la.

Pacing was good, but the content disturbed me; I'm sorry but that's just how I feel. 5-1-2.
