Parody Song Title:

"Aitches We Have Spurned in 'igh"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

"Aitches we have spurned in "'igh,"
"'eat," "'e," "'inges," "'ore," and "'ein-
ous." Our mouths, when they reply,
Send aitch to a lost domain.

'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'urry in 'ere, 'on.
Aitches ain't aired; they're shunned.
'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'urt me 'ead, 'on.
Ain't nailed aspira-ation.

'on, to Bethle'em let's flee,
Nice place for 'oliday fling.
'on, La'ore ain't temptin' me;
Pervez is the ad 'oc king.

'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'urry, 'asten, 'on.
Aitches ain't aired; they're shunned
'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'ur-'urry, 'ave to run, 'on.
Ain't nailed aspira-ation.

In East End aitches are laid
Aside in the 'umid 'aze.
'apless Liza, 'enry made
'it aitch 'ard in "hurricanes."

"'ertfor-or-or-ord, 'erefor-or-ord and 'a-a-a-a-a-ampshire"--
She's failed aspiration
"'ertfor-or-or-ord, 'erefor-or-ord, 'a-'ampshire, 'ur-'ur-'urricanes
'ardly ever 'a-'appen."

When I first saw the "ur ur ur" I thought it was a rooster crow parody...but this is quite original

As 'Enry 'Iggins would say, "I've grown accustomed to your clever parodies." Well done, John.

This is my kind of parody...once I figured out what the heck you were talking about. I googled the word "aitches" and then it made sense. Where I live we drop the letter "r". Is there such a word as ahhzez ? " I pahhk my cahh and get a beeahh"

yes when enry iggins and eliza drop their aitches, it sound trashy, but when the French drop them it sounds sexy - why is that? - thankyou for your intelligent tackling of such a controversial topic JAB - 555

General MacArthur, yours is a great observation! I never considered it before, but it truly is so! Perhaps a topic for further parody ?
