The Lyrics

This owes a bit more to one of the greatest parodies of all time, "On Top of Spaghetti." And the next time a Red Sox fan mentions "2004" to me, I can say more than "You cheated." I can tell him, "You're living in the past."
On top, now they're chokey
all covered with shame.
Old Boston's poor Red Sox
lost another bad game.

They rolled off the table
and onto the floor.
Those New England meatballs
on the wrong side of score.

There's luck in the Gahden
and down at Gillette
but over at Fenway
they're as bad as the Mets.

Oh, this choke is so tasty
as tasty can be.
'Cause Papelbon blew it
and so did Ellsbury.

The Sox are all covered
with egg from their face.
This choke was so massive
it can be seen from space.

'Twere on top, now they're chokey.
All covered with shame.
They can watch baseball's Playoffs
but they won't play those games.
The Yankees win, the Red Sox choke. As Hank Steinbrenner would say, the universe has been restored to order.

I don't get cable or broadcast TV, so I really miss watching baseball. But this song helps make up for it.

Michael - As satisfying as a Cardinal meltdown would be here. There is a UNIVERSE of difference between the Reds and the Red Sox. ;D
Nice job, but... - October 04, 2011 - Report this comment
ARod was cheating too in 2004, it appears. However, if you want to argue that if the Sox don't cheat and he doesn't the Yankees win because he'd have hit better in that playoff, I guess that makes sense. Great parody, though.

Actually as far as we know there's no evidence that he took the stuff after 2003, how much is true we don't know. If you meant the ball slapping incident, yeah that was dumb.He could have at least try to run him over.
