Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Art And Pole"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Can you guess which fictional character inspired this insipid parody? (Answer below)
Art and pole
She took ballet for years
Art and pole
She dances; crowd all cheers madly
As on the pole she goes
And slowly sheds all her clothes

Art and pole
Oh, how the men all roared
Lost control
But her poor Mom was floored, sadly
She stopped in for a sip
And saw her girl strip

"Dear, your ballet school cost us... lots of... money
"I find your work here not the... least bit... funny"

'Cause now Mom sees
Where ballet lessons went:
Hot striptease
Mom lost her temper'ment badly
Her daughter's ballet goal:
Perform her art on pole

alvin, thanks, and you're lucky... I tried it at home and couldn't sit through the whole thing.

2Eagle, AFW, Ann Hammond, thanks.

Very good substitutions. I didn't see the movie either, so I guessed "Gypsy." Of course, she did vaudeville, not ballet, and was real, not fiction; but, otherwise, it was a pretty good guess.

John Jenkins, good point! -- I didn't think of that, but yes, Rose Louise does fit a lot of this... Thanks for v/c.

Excellent fun parody... I suspect you wrote this on your uber-compact palmtop from the front row of one of the classier men's joints, heavy into your research, the stripper poles forming virtual 'antenna helpers' to your wi-fi enabled submission. (don't correct me if I'm wrong... I like the mental image!)

TJC: Okay, I won't... kind of like that image myself! ... thanks for v/c
