 (MP3)
Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"There's Naught That Mel'd Not Do"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

There's naught that Mel'd not do,
He was sublime.

Like "What's up, doc?" A duck cuckoo,
A pig t-t-t-tryin'
To speak well, t-t-t-tryin'.

Yosemite Sam'd it,
Was Fuddin' around.
He'd characterize it,
No matter--human, animal sound.

There's naught that Mel'd not do,
He was sublime,
A find.

I love to
Watch those toons,
Looney Tunes
Mel's voice booms from a cow
Or that bug-ya hare,
A mouse named Speedy,
Perhaps a sow.

I hear him
And say, "That Mel was cool."
Those were good times.

[fade on medley of Blanc voices]

Another Warner Brothers cartoon parody. At first, I thought it was going to be about not Mel Blanc, but Mel Gibson. You talk about your Looney Tunes...

like MP, I assumed this was about Gibson - the interesting thing is that Mel Blanc's son took over the voices and sounded identical - sort of like Phantom The Ghost Who Walks - this is Mel The Ghost Who Talks - 555
