A rondel is a circular piece of metal used for protection, as part of a harness of plate armor, or attached to a helmet, breastplate, couter or on a gauntlet.
My fine rondel keeps you
and sword in line.
It stops you from running me through. . .
I’d be lyin’
wounded and dyin’.
Along with my gantlets,
it helps keep me sound.
Also got some anklets
hanging just a short way off the ground.
But my rondel will do
me oh so fine,
just fine.
Therefore you
cannot do
a run-through
which makes you
come unwound.

I suddenly see,
a big letdown
for yours truly.
As a rondel you use. . .
