Have to say, the OS (original sonnet) is one of my most disliked poems of all - don't like what he's saying, or how he's saying it. But it seemed somehow appropriate...

From those rich twats rich irony revealed
A team whom England bore, paid, idolized
Gave lots, unseemly huge amounts of dosh

From dread performance, excuses will not wash

A goal or two, a hat-trick, but no less
Score more goals than Portugal between ya
Make recompense for booing fans, their pain
