This is a parody about the 44th President of the United States of America, Barack Obama. I wrote it the day after President Obama was inaugurated. Hey, it's better late than never, as I always say! Note: "Dick" refers to former Vice President Dick Cheney, "Dems" means "Democrats", "both of my votes" refers to the preliminary election in May and the primary election in November, the "House" reference refers to the House of Representatives, who are a perennial C-Span feature, and the poor grammar in spots can be excused on the grounds of accommodations for pacing.

This country is in a fix
Thanks to Georgie Bush and Dick
I know what the right will say
Higher taxes, I should pay
Liberal nation, we shall be
Oh, please, help us out, Obama

I would love it if war would end
Nuclear winter, you would prevent
I like you, and I voted for you

I always vote Democrat
So we get good bureaucrats

Please excuse the reference to the common abbreviation for "Democrats" (Dems) that did not appear in my parody. That was meant for another parody that was sitting on my desk next to this one when I was typing it in.
