Parody Song Title:

"L-U-RK"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

"He who begins by loving Christianity better than Truth will proceed by loving his own sect or church better than Christianity, and end by loving himself better than all."-- Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Aids to Reflection: Moral and Religious Aphorisms
L is for the loser we can't see.
U is for unknown, what can it be?
R's for rarely, rarely, when its rants aren't scary.
K is for "kiss mine." Give it, like Old Nick's, a slick shine, to

Lurk is something that criminals do,
Such as stalkers that obsess 'bout you.
Those who lurk can't make it
As writers; they couldn't take it.
Lurking's for a faceless few.

[out-of-tune trumpet solo]

L is for the loner we can't see.
U's for "unknown," how to parody.
R's for rabid railing, 'cause at rhymes it's failing.
K is for kiss hind of those of like vacuous mind, to

Lurk is something sociopaths do
Or theocrats who dictate to you.
Those who lurk can't make it
As righteous; they have fake it.
Lurk is what psychopaths do.

Yes, lurking's for a faithless few,
Oh, lurking is for Satan's crew.

disturbingly funny

John, I think there's alot of validity in the quote you used at the top. As for your parody, I think there are many potential lurkers and always someone who wants to target people. But targeting people is not very effective; putting forth a solid argument about a topic is more effective. That's where "Lurker" has missed it.

Thanks, Alvin. Royce, you raise a good point. . .could say I've stooped to the lurking level, but it was fun. One more to go.

Good work on lurk

4-1-1 (would be 4-0-0, were that possible). No, dummy. As usual, you show your ignorance. There are good lurkers too, such as law enforcement people (like me) who keep an eye on criminals (like you). Also, you invented that baseless "can't make it" story months ago, but you forgot that I refuted it. I wrote excellent parodies many years ago (possibly before you were even born), but I am retired now. I am eminently qualified to reveal to you (and other twerps like Pacholek) just how incompetent and vile you are. People like you belong behind bars, without access to computers. You are only barely human.

John "Barry-more" delights than most... and Lurk proves JB's point for him. F-I-V-E.

Pride and vanity you add to your penchant for transference, Lurker. You actually refuted nothing. You simply told us you wrote excellent parodies. Prove it. Let's see some. Lurking, by definition, is malevolent. And I though law enforcement agencies screened out psychopaths, so I find it hard to believe that you could have been in that profession. You are in desperate need of analysis. Seek help!

So the words spoken by the prophet Barry were fulfilled. Amen.
