| Parody Written by: | Bob Gomez |
This is a romantic little ballad, best followed by Phil Alexander's classic, "Diarrhoea Streaming." I'm saying, "Honey, this is absolutely the most delicious thing I've ever tasted in my whole entire life!" What I'm thinking is.........
It's inedible
That's what it is
Undigestible
(Plopp, Plopp, Fizz, Fizz.......)
Like some garlic paste that clings to me
This "cuisine" of yours does things to me
Never before
Has my heart burned more
It's inedible
In every way
An incredible
Puree flambe
And my darling, it's regrettable
That one dish so damned inedible
Makes my stomach
So upsettable, too
Undigestible
This is no fun
Look what time it is!
I've got to run!
It's appalling, it's insanity!
What is in this stuff, dead manatee?
I'm 'bout to go
Too late, thar she blows
Reprehensible
What you've served me
Indefensible
Sh*t potpourri
Yes, my darling, it's incredible
That I've eaten half a kettle full
Glad my pants are
Wash and wearable too
That's what it is
Undigestible
(Plopp, Plopp, Fizz, Fizz.......)
Like some garlic paste that clings to me
This "cuisine" of yours does things to me
Never before
Has my heart burned more
It's inedible
In every way
An incredible
Puree flambe
And my darling, it's regrettable
That one dish so damned inedible
Makes my stomach
So upsettable, too
Undigestible
This is no fun
Look what time it is!
I've got to run!
It's appalling, it's insanity!
What is in this stuff, dead manatee?
I'm 'bout to go
Too late, thar she blows
Reprehensible
What you've served me
Indefensible
Sh*t potpourri
Yes, my darling, it's incredible
That I've eaten half a kettle full
Glad my pants are
Wash and wearable too

OOPS. The original song was recorded in 1958 by the unforgettable Nat "King" Cole, and later his daughter Natalie did a posthumous "duet" with him, which was beautifully satirized on Saturday Night Live. But you already knew that. d;:^}
I enjoyed it, Bob
Lovely... beautifully written, and not a weak line in it - well worth the all 5s it's got so far. And thanks for the kind comment about "Diarrhoea Streaming" - yes, this is a very worthy precursor :-)
