The Lyrics

This is the estimate, given by a Portland city official, of what would be needed to haul away the mess left after Occupy Portland was evicted from two city parks. The term "moonbattery" is derived from "moonbat", a pejorative used by right wingnuts against left wingnuts.
Seventy dump truck loads went down Portland streets
Taking all of the trash from two city squares
They were loaded by clean-up men going back to work again
'Cause Occupy's no longer there

Seventy dump truck loads brought the garbage in
Dumping all of the junk those bums left behind
They were forced to pack up their tents
Giving off a stench
Almost bad enough to blow your mind

Those socialists and communists and union goons
Blabbering, blabbering all throughout the day
Showing off their banners, signs and posters, too
Some of them having a pic of Che

It was quite a splendid showing of moonbattery
Banging drums, shouting out, "[bleep] the USA" *
Now we're happy as a lark
And we can go enjoy our parks
Because Occupy has gone away

The term "moonbat" was applied first to Jerry Brown during his first term as California's governor. Portland is where rich Californians fled to avoid his taxes. 5s

Media bias is alive and well - November 18, 2011 - Report this comment
When the Tea Party rallys were going strong, the Dominant Liberal Mass Media would report heresay, innuendo, and rumors as fact to paint the movement as racist and violent. Remember how they reported that the Tea Party was mostly white people? Well, well, well. The OWS is mostly white, violent, and Marxist, and the darlings of said media.

Occupy Kansas City is still camped out in front of the Federal Reserve branch office, a more fitting object of protest than Wall Street. Last I heard they were complaining that the local media was paying no attention to them. I suspect in few weeks this protest, too shall pass away.
