Original Performer:

Ludwig van Beethoven

Parody Song Title:

"Beethoven's Fifth"

Parody Written by:

Michael Pacholek

The Lyrics

So I'm on hold with this guy, and the on-hold music is Beethoven's 5th Symphony. And, well, let's just say it's a good thing he didn't pick up, because he would have heard me writing a parody on the spot. Yes, I know, Rick Duncan already did "Beethoven's Riff," and it was longer, but I don't think either he or the Beethoven estate are gonna sue me.
Beethoven's Fifth!
Beethoven's Fifth!
This is the tune that's known as
Beethoven's Fifth!
This is the tune that's known as
Beethoven's Fifth!
Beethoven's Fifth!
Beethoven's Fifth!
Ludwig's Fifth Sym... pho...ny!

Beethoven's Fifth!
I couldn't have made this up: The security code had two 5s in it.

Don't worry, Mike. If Beethoven's heirs wanted to sue people, they'd have gone after me years ago.

And then you'd have to get Lucy to represent you, and then you'd have to sue her for malpractice. At least she wouldn't charge much: Every hour, "Five cents, please."

In 1976, Walter Murphy released a disco version called "A Fifth of Beethoven".

Banned for mentioning disco, let alone for mentioning that piece. I thought I eliminated such discussion when I got rid of Bernard.

I know how it feels to banned, I've been banned from the blues brothers forum by that wicked witch Takkuneg. It's proof that forum adminstrators have no heart whatsoever.

This is too short if you ask me. It is very creative and well paced, but it is frankly quite boring.

You make too many demands on the royal ear. The poor man can't concentrate for more than an hour... you gave him ten seconds.
