Song Parodies -> Jabbertalky
| Original Song Title: | "Jabberwocky" |
| Original Performer: | Lews Carroll |
| Parody Song Title: | "Jabbertalky" |
| Parody Written by: | John A. Barry |
'Twas blither, and the slimy Rove,
A guy and gibbon in the cage.
All mixed up were their bozomoves,
Like the wrath from Abu Ghraib.
Beware the Jabbertalk, my son,
The sounds that bite, the jaws that catch.
Beware the JebJeb turd and shun
The ruinous band of quacks.
He took his "values" sword in hand;
Long time the mandate faux he sought.
So rested he by the DumbDub team.
He hasn't got a thought.
And as in oafish fog he stood,
The Jabbertalk with tiny brain.
Came blith'ring of his bungled word
And burbled something lame.
He knew, he knew that he could woo
With values game the cracker hacks,
Whose brains are dead, just like his head—
The whole galootish pack.
Jock had not slain the Jabbertalk,
Perhaps was harmed by beaming boy.
Oh abject day! Galoot "heh-heh!"
He chortled to annoy.
'Twas brilliant scum, the slimy Rove,
His guy, though, gibbers like an ape.
And plundered were the treasure troves
All the money rats outgave.
A guy and gibbon in the cage.
All mixed up were their bozomoves,
Like the wrath from Abu Ghraib.
Beware the Jabbertalk, my son,
The sounds that bite, the jaws that catch.
Beware the JebJeb turd and shun
The ruinous band of quacks.
He took his "values" sword in hand;
Long time the mandate faux he sought.
So rested he by the DumbDub team.
He hasn't got a thought.
And as in oafish fog he stood,
The Jabbertalk with tiny brain.
Came blith'ring of his bungled word
And burbled something lame.
He knew, he knew that he could woo
With values game the cracker hacks,
Whose brains are dead, just like his head—

'Twas brilliant scum, the slimy Rove,
His guy, though, gibbers like an ape.
And plundered were the treasure troves
All the money rats outgave.

Some solid "Jabs" delivered to Jeb & Dub & Rove here, Mr. J.A.B., 5's from me...
A masterpiece! Could be Jib-Jabbertalky!
Thanks much, Paul, JD.
Normally I'm against all the hating (from both sides of the political spectrum), but this is a novel idea.
As Olvan points out, this is a novel concept, for which you deserve credit, but it would be better if the following pairs rhymed: cage/Ghraib, catch/quacks, and ape/gave.
Some lovely takes from the original- "outgrabe/Abu Ghraib", loved the JebJeb Turd, and "Oh abject day! Galoot "heh-heh!"/He chortled to annoy." was kind of inspired :-)
Love it. And everything Philbo said.
