| Original Performer: | Judy Garland |
| Parody Song Title: | "Beat 'em In St. Louis, Red Sox" |
| Parody Written by: | Airfarcewon |
(Verse)
St. Louis to Boston did scat,
And then lost two games, just like that
Flew back to St. Lou, but when they tried to do
What had to be done, they fell flat
When it came to game number four,
The broomstick was close to the floor,
After nine innings down,
It was good old Beantown,
And there just wouldn't be anymore....Oh
(Chorus)
"Beat 'em In St. Louis" Red Sox,
Let's now call the team
Up the creek and down the river,
Floats the Card'nal's dream
Poor St. Louis weeps the wearies,
Because Boston sweeps the Series,
They are the "Beat 'em In St. Louis" Red Sox
Card'nals pie got creamed!
(2nd Chorus)
"Beat 'em In St. Louis" Red Sox
Boston take your bow,
Shanked 'em better than the Yankees
Where's the curses, now?
In a town with fallen Arches,
There can be no vic'try marches,
Because the "Beat 'em in St. Louis" Red Sox,
Showed Missouri how!
St. Louis to Boston did scat,
And then lost two games, just like that
Flew back to St. Lou, but when they tried to do
What had to be done, they fell flat
When it came to game number four,
The broomstick was close to the floor,

And there just wouldn't be anymore....Oh

Floats the Card'nal's dream
Poor St. Louis weeps the wearies,
Because Boston sweeps the Series,

Great parody! The Boston Red Sox have not won the World Series since 11:40 PM EDST last night, by the way.
I'm assuming someone beat someone in St Louis, which makes this song a perfect fit for the story AFW - 555
Another nice paean to a miraculous team.
