Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

a man struggling in this bad economy is determined to find any job he can get.
Verse 1: A well I curse this damn economy
I’m looking for a job anywhere I see
My friends try to help me but it’s so dumb
You have some?
They’re all filled up!
Hoooo, hooo, oh no, no!

Verse 2: I tried at Quiznos and I tried Hardee’s
I can’t get a job at my own Mick D’s
Who do I kill for me to have luck!?
That’s enough!
They’re all filled up!
Hoooo, hooo, oh no, no!

Bridge 1: Oh please I’ll take anything you got
I’ll work on a fry grill, where it is so hot
I won’t get a job that I love best
My cash’s so low it scares me to death!

Verse 3: When I get that job, I won’t let it go
It’s better than being out in the snow
I’m sad to say that nothing’s opened up
I’m give up!
They’re all filled up!
Hoooo, hooo, oh no, no!

Bridge 2: My legs get tired as I run around
I look into every classified in town
There’s only one place with a job opening
And I got that job, and I have to sing!

Verse 4: When I got that job, what a thrill I got
I worked real hard and went straight to the top
I’m proud to say that I am not a bum!
Some good luck! Uh!
They weren’t filled up!
Hmmm, hmmm, yeah, yeah yeah!
Hmmm, hmmm, yeah, yeah!
They weren’t filled up!

I wonder what the job he got was....at the Heartbreak Hotel perhaps? Nice job!

I think it would have been funnier to reveal what this horrible job he got landed with is. Like working in a sewage treatment plant or as a janitor at an Adult Theater. But not a bad parody.

(Ages) This sounds like my life story...well not anymore. Before my job as a telemarketer, it took me a long while to find jobs and all I can come up with are temp jobs. I've been let go left and right. Yeah, stupid economy is causing unemployment. I may be a telemarketer and this may not be my dream job, but it's better than nothing and I enjoy it as a matter of fact. My boss loves me and tells me I'm doing a great job all the time. Great work on the parody and enjoyed it lots. This will go with my "Great Jobs For Hire" parody. Maybe I should have written "Come Work With Me" to "Come Go With Me" by Del Vikings so people would feel like they're welcome at their jobs and companies would be glad to extend a hand to anyone needy for a job. Well, it would've been nice, right?

(Ages) I don't think I'll be having this problem anytime soon...mainly because I have no idea what career I should go for, but still. Nice parody here, though I agree with Matty about revealing what job the guy got. 555 applicants!

(Ages 2011, Round 4) I don't have this problem since I was hired back on at a place I worked back in my early 20s, was desperately wanted back and was well-liked by the boss. I have decent job-security too. On to the parody, great work, 5s straight across. One of the best works of yours I've ever read & sang...

(AofA) I know exactly how this guy feels. I really glad I have the job I have now! What was the mystery job!
