The Lyrics

This was just a quick, little parody I wrote whilst in my cabin at summer camp. It was "shoes off" time, which is right after lunch at that summer camp.
When you go to your bed, and lay down your head,
You'll feel like a bundle of joy.
Listen to a CD, play cards with me,
Or play with your favorite toy.

You can hit the sack, and take a nap,
Or simply read a book.
Whatever you do, it's up to you,
Everyone knows it's nap time.

It's nap time!
It's nap time!
Fun for girls and boys.
It's nap time!
It's nap time!
One of life's simple joys.

When you've been out all day, have nothing to say,
And you're finally getting tired.
Always be aware that nap time's there,
Everybody loves nap time!

And you know our city is nicknamed Naptown, so this ode is pretty close to my heart.

This is to the tune of The Log Song, right? ;-)
