The Lyrics

Does NASCAR have the playoffs? Yes, they do.
Riding shotgun in my automobile
Going too fast behind the wheel
Go round in circles for 500 miles
The fans stand up and they all go wild
Crew chief's yelling on my radio
With only just 10 races left to go

Riding shotgun in my automobile
I'm riding off in front of the field
Kenny Wallace just took my lead here
Crew Chief yells some more in my ear
Guess my car was just a little slow
With only just 10 races left to go

Only just 10 races left to go
So I pit on my way with a tire blown
The race was young and the engines rolled
So the gasman gave me a splash 'n go
I can't imagine the way I felt
I quickly pulled up my safety belt

Riding along for the team of Roush
Still trying to knock them out a-loose
The final laps just became a grudge
and my engine just started to budge
Crew Chief's yelling on my radio
With only just 10 races left to go

To be a sport, you have to have a ball, and you have to have the chance to kick the (stuffing) out of somebody. Auto racing is not a sport. It's driving. It's turning left. You might as well call driving to work a sport. You might as well call riding the subway a sport. At least on the subway, you have the chance to kick the (stuffing) out of somebody.
