The Lyrics

Kimba T. Dogg did a Mickey Mantle parody a couple of years ago. I don't know why it took me, Amiright's biggest Yankee Fan, so long to think of one. Bobby Darin also came out of The Bronx in the 1950s.
Oh, the old Babe, he was great, dear.
Captain Lou was, guiding light.
Joltin' Joe, he, had that streak, babe.
And the Mick hits balls out of sight.

You know when he steps up, Tigers crouch and
Scarlet stockings start to dread.
Senators can't filbuster.
Scouting reports, won't help if you've read.

Now, on the sidewalk, huh, huh
ooh, Sunday morning, uh-huh
lined for tickets, in the bleachers they've sat.
And baseball's screaming toward those reaches.
Could that hitter be Mick the Bat?

Uh, there's a Scooter, huh, huh
up in the press box, don't you know?
"Holy Cow!" heard, all around New York town.
Driving Maris home right ahead, babe.
Five to two, the Yanks have Pennant down.

Now, did you hear Yogi Berra? He talks to press, babe.
AFLAC gives you money, just as good as the cash.
And now the pitcher, he's thrown a slider.
Could it be, that guy's done something rash?

Bobby Murcer! Ho! Ho!
Yeah, Thurman Munson!
Mister Reggie Jackson!
Just come on down!
It's a line drive, from the Mick, babe
all the way to... Cooperstown!

David Winfield!
Whoa, Donnie Mattingly!
Derek and A-Rod!
Just come on down!
It's a line drive, from the Mick, babe
all the way to...

Look out, it's way, way back!

Good stuff, even though I wasn't sure whether if it was a Berra parody or a Mantle parody. Since the first AmIRight Mantle parody was written by a Mets fan, will you write a Met tribute parody - to Tom Seaver or Mookie Wilson or some other icon?

Great job; someone should do bArry Bonds now that he's apparently blacklisted; well, I'm sure someone has already, there's so much talent here.
