The garlands are gone
The tree is stored
The neighbor's tall pine trees sway.
It's an ice-cold freezing day
But I'm inside, so hey.
But it's January the tenth
And I am feeling a little bent...

I've just sat through a bland Christmas
Not like the ones I used to know.
Where the world would twinkle,
And life felt simple
We'd play, even without snow.
Now, nothing but a bland Christmas
No special feelings did I have.
Just a New Years' party...by half.
I just hope that next year's is a laugh..
