Song Parodies -> Fragments -> Alan Jackson

These are short parody lyrics set to the lyrics of songs by Alan Jackson.

Alan Jackson

Alan Jackson's, "Dallas"
Better Lyrics:
I took her out of Florida
When she was just a girl
But old Georgia and me
Couldn't take Florida out of her

Oh how I wish Tampa was in Georgia
If I could move Florida north
Then she'd be here with me
Then nothin' else would come between the two of us
If Tampa was in Georgia

I go the inspiration for these lyrics when I heard the song "Dallas" and long after I moved to Atlanta from Tampa. I long to be in Tampa and I really miss living there, and I have a lot of good memories of living there. And that's where I got the inspiration to write these lyrics.
Original Lyrics:
I took her out of Texas
When she was just a girl
But old Tennessee and me
Couldn't take Texas out of her

Oh how I wish Dallas was in Tennessee
If I could move Texas east
Then she'd be here with me
Then nothin' else would come between the two of us
If Dallas was in Tennessee
