The Lyrics

DKTOS?...Try: OS
This goes out to all the n00bies...I was there six months ago...
Well I started out with a dirty word
Charted out all the turds
And my puns went south as I tossed my swill
This clown bit dust, his words got grilled

I'm burning my time and my pain doth sting
Fumblin' 'round in a heartless spring

Where's the flood of praise I sought to earn
From the mocks I dealt and the cheese I churned?

I'm yearning to rhyme but I'm drained and wringed
Dumbin' down to a harmless schwing

Well some say strife will keep you sound
Make you smart, steel your mound
Though my fartled shouts, they got nowhere
And the best I've shown was only fair

I'm learning that thighs astound the crowd
The slut hoe's cup, lust-cum-laud

I'm yearning to chime almost anything
Hummin' proud in the art I bring
I'm turning to wine to rouse my clout
But what goes down must come out

I'm yearning to rhyme
I'm burning my time

*Everyone* has to pledge and get initiated -- and you've done quite well! ... except, of course, that if "laud' is English, it doesn't rhyme with "crowd"; if the Latin, "cum laude", then "laude" is two syllables (a Barry-Turtle-Geek-Latin thing only), but WTF, "lust-cum-laud" was a triple-play that scores even if the ball was slightly tipped. 555, and keep up the progress and the good work!

Thanks all!

...TT: I debated putting an apostrophe after "laud" to signify I was dropping the "e" from "laude"...But I decided that the intended pronunciation of "laud" would be obvious from context, so I left it off...Next time I'll know better...My amphologies for the amphibguity!
