The Lyrics

A tribute to the great John Pacella, my high school Trig and Calculus teacher.
Casios from China
Try to steal your mind's elation
T.I.s from America
Display silver screen equations
And if you want these kind of dreams
It's Cross-Multiplication

It's the edge of the screen
And all of western calculation
The value may rise in the function
At least it exists in the final equation
It's understood that f.o.i.l.ing could
solve Cross-Multiplication

Pay your teacher very well
To break the spell of knaving
Acute vertex is this convex
Or is that line concaving

First born abacus
Hard core calculus
Dream of Cross-Multiplication
Dream of Cross-Multiplication

Negative three, be my domain to the left
Be my very own limitation
An airplane ride with a vector inside
Getting high on information
And get me an A on the test today
It's Cross-Multiplication

Space may be the final frontier
But it's solved with quadratic equation
And Pascal's Triangle could not endure
Without simple integration
And the derivative's not far away
It's Cross-Multiplication

Born and raised by those who praise
Multiple dimensions, everybody's been there and
I don't mean in detention

First born abacus
Hard core calculus
Dream of Cross-Multiplication
Dream of Cross-Multiplication

Deduction leads to a very rough road
But it also solves equations
And mistakes are to a man's red pen
They're just another wrong notation
And reciprocals couldn't save the world
From Cross-Multiplication

Pay your teacher very well
To break the spell of knaving
Stricter than the rest
There is no test
But this is what you're craving

First born abacus
Hard core calculus
Dream of Cross-Multiplication
Dream of Cross-Multiplication.

F.o.i.l.ed again. Top quality parody here, Rich. Very good rhymes and use of the original song. I hope your teacher enjoys it.

555 for you. Have to say though that when I was in school, T.I. sucked bad because they had harder to use features and were slow. Casios are alot faster ( take 69X! and a Casio spits out 1.711224524 x10^98 in about a second, whereas a T.I took about six ). The students with T.I. did worse overall, but they do have those very handy display screens. :)

I came across this quite by accident. It is very good, and I thank you for the tribute.
