What kind of parodist are you?
How do you spoof the songs you hear?
Share with us your work in AmIRight
What kind of parodist are you?
Is it funny now and then?
And did it have meanings in them?
What kind of parodist are you?
Read those crappy ones by Sentai Blessranger
Against Phil Alexander whose work is better
Pacholek's a huge baseball fan
Fitu Petaia just got a perma-ban
What kind of parodist are you?
How do you spoof the songs you hear?
Don't whack me with Static's red bong
Spoofing American Pie, it's damn long
Good luck with Tong with a help from Spaff
You f**k it up and they'll kick your ass

Just hope that I'll broke out of a slump, same here for the Yankees as well, been a terrible month.

I'm the kind of parodist that: 1. Hardly parodieas any songs from the 21st century, except new Weird Al songs. 2. Tends to parody some fairly obscure songs. 3. Picks unusual topics for parodies. And 4. Has not been sending parodies to this site in a while because of computer issues. But like I say, I'll be back. I'm just very busy at this period in time, but I swear on my honor or my head be chopped up & made into soup that I'll be back.
Oh yeah, I also forgot. I'm the kind of parodist that also parodies Dschinghis Khan on a certain basis. In fact, I've got more Dschinghis Khan parodies than anyone else here, with more on the way once I get back on track. Also, what do you mean "Fitu Petaia just got a perma-ban"? Does that mean that Fitu is banned indefinitely from sending parodies? Also, if it is possible to get banned from sending parodies, then how so?
Sending incomplete work and the work that were plagerised.
The second verse cracked me up! If you mentioned me in your song, what kind of parodist would I be? ;-)
You certainly picked an obscure one, but I actually have heard it...When I was a young and stupid Poke-fan, I got the Pokemon CD (You may remember it:"2 B A Master?"). Parody was a tad bland, though...533
I'm the kind that hates Pokemon. But also the kind that likes this parody. And while it is impossible to his a five-run homer, I can say this one is five runs on five hits.
I'm an old pokemon fan. Gengar is my favorite
I don't know the original, so I can't vote. But this is my parody type:
1. Badly written, and rhymeless.
2. Almost always a parody of Coldplay or The Beatles, with some exceptions.
3. Generally have nothing to do with current events, but with exceptions, like "YouTube Chain Letters" (Dare to Be Stupid)
Did you even read it?
Also parodies doesn't have to be current events either prick!
2.49AM I agree with Max here. Obviously you didn't read it properly as the parody does rhyme pretty well. And parodies can be about any topic you want. They do not have to be about current events.
You guys didn't read 2:49 AM's comment correctly: he didn't write that THIS parody was badly written and rhymeless, he wrote that HIS parody type was the list that followed.
yes, vive le difference - there are so many parody types on amiright already, yet still we need more - good work Max
I get it, thanks for pointing it out Ant. Comments can get misinterpretated. Owe you an apology there AM.
Also I apologise Red Ant and AM.
Apologies accepted. I meant my parodies are rhymeless and have no connection to current events. Sorry for any confusion.
(SOTM) Goofy choice of song, you did a lot with it for its length.
(SOTM) Did the original artist of this song have to do penance for it? The OS is just stupid. But you can always get some good scores by dropping names. Don't I know it.
SOTM - One of your better ideas so far, and though I'm with McKludge on the original I'd like to point out that if he/she likes it this is the type of original a parodist can hold in the back of his/hers head for current topics that need a fast write - In this case "What kind of (insert three syllables here) are you?".
(SOTM) A poo parodist!
I'm a parodist who can't stand the TV show Pokemon, but this parody wasn't at all ani-lame.
true... i totally agree... works tho! nice
(SOTM for the comment above)
(SOTM) Well it's deffinitely different and unique. . .
Well, this raises a big question: what kind of parodist am I? I think you'll see more variety than patterns in my works.
(SOTM) That was...okay.
(SOTM) The video link you left on the voting thread has been removed from YouTube. I found another one - is this the whole song? I ask 'cause that version had "Reach higher with FIRE-go Flareon!/Think twice about ICE to be number one..." after where you lyrics stopped - a lyrics sheet listed the same as that video. Not bad, but I'm afraid I can't give full marks here to a parody that seems to be missing quite a bit of lyrics to the sources I found. Sorry, Max. I did like the "Spoofing American Pie, it's damn long" line; agreed
(SOTM) see above I DKTOS Max, but I like the take you did on the title, and we always love the "inside" ones, don't we? - 555
(SOTM) I'm the kind of parodist who LOVES syllable-matching!
(SOTM) A parodist who is trying very hard.
(SOTM) OS didn't work, this was okay. I think you should have varied the choruses.
SOTM- Well, what kind of parodist am I? Good question. I'm one who doesn't know a damn thing about pokemon, or any song related to it. However, I am one who enjoys a good song about the art of writing parodies. Short and sweet, and good work, Max.
SOTM - Ah yes... Pokemon. I still have my card collection. I saw the first movie. I partially parodied the theme song. Interesting parody. It takes guts to diss somebody in a song, and I totally agree with your points.
(SOTM) Although I think you were a bit harsh on TSB, Max, I sorta enjoyed this...what kind of parodist am I? Ask my psychiatrist. 555
Im the kinda parodist who votes 555 on this!
(SOTM) This was ok...I didn't really like the 3rd verse. I don't think that it's really my place to declare what kind of parodist I am and I'd rather hear what others think...especially others who don't write parodies.
