Tooth fairy took 'em away from me

When she replaced them with coins under my pillow

I have wondered since I was young
Where the tooth fairy gets money from
When I ask, people guffaw
And ask if I believe in Santa Claus
Maybe she invests really well
Or creates the money with a magic spell
Or maybe people pay her money to watch her soar
Got some of that, won't get, no more

Is why the tooth fairy needs those teeth
Maybe she's building a ship made out of enamel

Maybe it's her hobby and
If she collects enough she can get a car
Or maybe there's a monster living in her lair
Who's mean and eats teeth and has lots of hair
And if her tooth supply ever runs out
That monster might rip teeth out of my mouth
