I finally overcame the writer's block that assaulted me as soon as 2nz encouraged LOTR parodies this week. I was completely clueless for a bit. However, this is a song from the POV of Sauron, who, I'm sure, was a tad bit frustrated with the fact that he had no body and/or way of doing his own dirty work, and his henchmen were SO incompetant when it came to capturing the Ring from a inconsequential Hobbit!

Today had better be the day
That those idiots bring me the Ring
By now I'm wondering how
Any of them ever was a King
I don't believe that any of them
Really knows a thing about "The Sau'"

Backbeat the word is on the street
That a Hobbit has the Ring of Power
He's short; it shouldn't be a sport
They should find him easy to devour
I don't believe that any of them
Should get in the Tower of "The Sau'"

And all the roads the Hobbits walk are winding
And all the light from Gandalf's staff is blinding
There are many things that I
Would do if I just had
My body now

Thanks so much, Phil! Do you mean of the songs I've written, who still needs a song? I think just about everyone has one on the site...but as far as my lyrical efforts go...I'm not done...unless you count the So Long parody...which mentions just about everyone. Anyway...I'm working on a Sam one right now...Actually, it's done...but I'm not very pleased with it, so I'm reluctant to post it. I'd also love to write one for Merry & Pippin...and Gandalf...and Bill the Pony...and well...let's just say that I'm SO far from being done with the LOTR collection. By the time I'm finished, it will be suitable for a 6 CD/12 Cassette collection from Time/Life...=)
