In which I long-windedly explain the Greater Internet F***wad Theory (aka the GIFT) to the tune of a song i only know through a review of a crappy Pinnochio movie by a couple of muppets. And people wonder why I'm a bit weird!
There's a theory 'bout what happens online
It's where inhibitions take a jet plane and fly
People act like dicks with their heads in the clouds
And no matter the website, sure ain't boy scouts
With a lot of goits per site
Why not just ban them outright?
Well, one could, but these a-holes bounce back ev'rytime

A flood of epithets released

Longest non-Meatloaf parody! Though that's based on my admitedly shaky recollection, so who knows. By "flag" I mean "use the Report Post button" that often eludes people.

WHEW! At first I thought you meant us less-skilled contributors here. Whenever I venture into the comments section of HuffPost News (which now handles the news for AOL), I throw more "flags" than an NFL referee in an Oakland/Pittsburgh game. My FB page is defaced literally "left and right" by moronic posts. Censorship of course is wrong, but if these so-called authors will not assume any responsibility then a moderator must fill the vacuum. Tremendous job here. ;D

Love the theory, love the parody. The internet has certainly helped us understand that there's a large population of insensitive idiots in the world.
You hit the bull in the eye. Seriously on Youtube and many other comments section of the webpages, there will always be a group of idiots trying to start something. Makes you want to hunt them down and beat them up, like in the 2001 Jay and Silent Bob movie.
