The Lyrics

After having to remove my Nazareth song from my repertoire, I had to create this song expressing my dismay. It does relate to the current malaise of 2021 America.
(Guitar Intro)

(Verse 1)
Evidence from near and far
Never brought up to William Barr
Now we fight with many a czar
It’s nineteen eighty four

Never bothered to take a smell
Months gone by, in our prison cell
Yet online I cannot yell
It’s nineteen eighty four

Trust was gone when you got our vote
Everything we heard is misquote
And we did not get a lifeboat
It’s nineteen eighty four

(Chorus)
Never had a job to work
Never had a bill to pay
Now we pay

(Verse 2)
Evidence from near and far
It’s never brought up to William Barr
Now we fight with many a czar
It’s nineteen eighty four

(Chorus)
Never had a job to work
Never had a bill to pay
Now we pay

(Instrumental Break)

(Verse 3)
I never bothered to take a smell
Months gone by, in our prison cell
Yet online I cannot yell
It’s nineteen eighty four

Trust was gone when you got our vote
Everything we heard is misquote
And we did not get a lifeboat
It’s nineteen eighty four

(Chorus)
Never cared for laws they make
Never knew the lives at stake
Never had a job to work
Never had a bill to pay
Now we pay, yeah-yeah!

(Guitar Solo)

(Outro)
Evidence from near and far
Never brought up to William Barr
Now we fight with many a czar
It’s nineteen eighty four
Welcome to the land of death, dependence, and pursuit of misery. The 21st century calling card for America, even if that is written as its opposite in the bill of rights.

@Tatiana, just for clarification, I did not remove the song due to cancel culture or at the behest of the AIR web moderators. I made the decision to remove the song b/c there was no tacit humor involved in it. The Nazareth song was called "Trump Won" and I posted that, with the optimism that he won the 2020 election, and I could own the libs. Call it a victory lap. I waited until all avenues for that outcome would be exhausted, before I pulled it from my repertoire. There is no reason to blame Amiright for this.

@Tatiana, P.S. I actually live in Canada, so it is more closer to Europe on masks, but I appreciate the sentiment all the same.
