The Lyrics

This is another version of "Fish Takes Time to Catch". A few years ago, we had a fish tank in our classroom and it exploded, but the fish didn't die. Here's a song about how my teacher felt.
We had it last fall
But we let it leak away
Couldn't see it was leaking
Now we wander in and out
Looking around at those goldfish
Believing that they're withdrawn

Fish takes time
To save when the tank leaks so much
Couldn't see that we were unkind
To let it blow
We can't avoid the mess, they almost died
Because saving fish takes time
We don't want to shed tears
We don't want to shed tears on our own

They remind us
Since we were apart
Suddenly our classroom became incomplete
The aquarium needs fixing
Tell us how to save them
They're losing water instantly

You might say we need a lucky clover
You might say they need air
You might say you don't want fish
You don't need fish
But I know that you do and I feel that you do, they almost died
