The Lyrics

mp3 - http://www.cygorhex.com/mp3.html ormidi - http://web.agria.hu/kepenu/kingcrim.htm
"It's done", I see the comets wrote,
As they fall into the seas.
Into the ocean swells and depths
Their one light slightly screams.
And they foretold a world apart
With lights and with their beams.
And no one prays; havoc is wreaked.
They're silent, so it seems.

Delusion will be my polygraph,
I don't see I crawl a crooked path,
My knees ache but I will not use that staff.
Even though I know that I'll be hurting.
Even though I know that I'll be hurting.
Yes, though I know that I'll be hurting.

- instrumental -

Between these two gates I do wait.
The laughter gate is sown,
Tear-watered by the seeds of prose
Although I have not known.
Pain edge is a ready friend
'Til one upsets the rules,
This gate of all pain that I see.
Is opened when mirth rules.

- long instrumental -

"There is hope", now the comets wrote
But it's crumbling, it seems.
It turns to dust and into death
And failings can be seen.
Emotions have been torn apart,
Reality I've seen.
There will be no applause for these,
Just silence in their dreams.

Delusion will be my polygraph
As I fall I crack a joke and laugh
I hope we make it down that broken path.
Even though I know that I'll be hurting.
Even though I know that I'll be hurting.
Yes, though I know that I'll be hurting.

Very good writing, not sure how I'm going to hear the midi (don't have speakers on my work PC...my work headphones are only to the telephone), but I'll see if I can find a way - be back later to vote.

There's a moment in a live performance by Stephen Stills where he is playing the intro to a song and someone in the audience laughs. He keeps playing and says "The one thing the Blues ain't......is funny" He proceeds to play the crap out of "Black Queen". I stopped by to say hello to you, Pat, but that moment is what this song reminded me of. Ain't funny, but still good.

Thanks for stopping by, Rick. You have a certain way of wording things.

Well, good parody though I'm still DKTOS. After spending 45 minutes downloading the MP3 link you provided (12MB file) I played it. It's not KC's "Epitaph" (nor a cover) unless that song is a 13:15 long instrumental. It would be destined for the recycle bin had I not spend so long downloading it

Ahh....too bad, Jack, but I appreciate you going to the effort and I appreciate you saying that it was good.
