Original Song Title:

"Beautiful Girl"

Original Performer:

Jose Mari Chan

Parody Song Title:

Parody Written by:

Rick Duncan

The Lyrics

Since Mari wrote one about me yesterday, this is the return volley.
Fluteiful girl, whenever you play
You practice for hours, big chunks of each day
I know that I'll hear again for such a long, long while
That trill again

You play mellow, beautiful and slow
And when you are on the stage you are quite a pro
My ears will be clear again after a long, long while
That toot again

It's a wind players' game
They must keep up a lower lip
They play those notes only to find
They got no tip

Wherever they are, they fear if they skip
Just one day of practice, that their talent might slip
Now they go play again for a long, long while
That tweet again

It's a wind players' game
They must keep up a constant blow
They play those notes only to find
A cancelled show

Fluteiful girl, I'll hang onto you
Till all your musicianship makes your face turn blue
You've made me play again after a long, long while
And I'll wait till you're through
Fluteiful girl

Rick - DKTOS, but that is a really nice piece. I missed yesterday's entries here just about entirely. I'll have to take a look back for Mari's piece about you.

This is a lot nicer than the one that I wrote about Rick and his trombone. It's true about having to keep up one's lip, and I do play every day. I don't practice as much as he says that I do; it must just seem like it!

That's what I tell her when she's holding me in a headlock over the catbox.

Awww..!!!! But I'll bet she still hates your trombone! ;-)

Leah, Rick bought that trombone on our vacation. We were staying with friends, and one of them started to clip her toenails. Rick hates the sound that it makes, so he starting playing his new "axe." We all hadn't laughed so hard in a long time. On the plus side, Rick is my biggest fan (and vice versa).

That was a great parody of a Jose Mari Chan song and it's about a flute player! I'm giving it all 5's for this, Rick!

Very good parody, not so overdone as to insult the original. The original is beautiful.. this is well... FUNNY! Well done, Rick!

Nice take at Mr. Chan. I'm a Filipino guy, and I happened to meet a son of Jose's personal driver. 555 for you, Rick...
