The Lyrics

I took another break from this site again. Not as long as last time, but I've been busy. Here's a parody about COVID-19, technology and pretty much what's going on these days. Enjoy.
Ooh ooh, he-ey... (Oh)
Oh, what we're living in...
Let me tell you

You know that everybody big and small
Has some kind of phone or device, after all
Use them to play games and call, they do lots of things for us
And I'm doing everything I can for this world... Everything I know
I can't speak, I can't breathe
That's how things will be...

And how are we gonna change the world we're in?
'Cause we can always try, but never win
And see now, things are getting worse
See, whoa oh...
It's a crazy world we're living in
And it's hard to see most of us immersed in screens
That's all for school and meetings

Today seems like virtual insanity now
Only because of this new illness we have
So we stay online, and use this technology...
Oh, now I hear no sound
So what do I do now?

And I'm thinking what a mess this is
I don't know where to begin
If only you could live the life before cellphones were made
And now everybody can choose any color...
Any style
Like purple, white and gray...

Well, it might've been different yesterday
There's nothing else to do but wait..
Next thing you know, there's another version
Whoa oh, it's so insane
They captivate all of our brains
There's something in this
Stories that have to be told

Today seems like virtual insanity now
Only because of this new illness we have
So we stay online, and use this technology...
Oh, now we're safe and sound
But I hear no sound...

Oh, now I hear no sound
But we're all safe and sound...
And now, it's virtual insanity
Hard to go back to reality...
Oh, but it's not so bad...
We're doing the best we can
Oh yeah, I know yeah

Ooh ooh...

Today seems like virtual insanity now
Only because of this new illness we have
So we stay online, and use this technology...
Oh, now we're safe and sound
But I hear no sound, oh

Now, this life that we're living is all so wrong (Living, virtual insanity)
It went through the window, you know that (Living, virtual insanity)
This is nothing worse but we do our best (Living, virtual insanity)
I'm making sure that I don't lose my mind, yeah (Living, virtual insanity)

Virtual insanity is what we're living in
But it's alright now...
This is another addition to my Ten Second Songs self challenge. It took a while since I'm not that familiar with the song, even though it's one of my favorites. What should I make my next parody about? Follow me on Twitter: @matiasluis2077.
