The Lyrics

DKTOS? Check the 5th listing here. This is a rant about the people I used to work for... perhaps you can relate... this isn't meant to be really funny...
~intro~

Sometimes
I friggin' swear
See
Stupidity everywhere

And I
Really think it has become-
-too much, I stand and stare
At these wastes of air

Was drivin' me insane...
'cause they seemed to find a way....
(Of) warping my own views...
But fin'ly I'm...
Waking up inside, and I....
Should be the one collecting dues

Whatever these morons think - I don't care
They open mouths, I roll my eyes, yeah
Whenever these morons speak, I'll beware
I'll beware...

I love life
So I am living mine
This man's free from the - flawed minds

Ask why?
They're lemmings none too wise
Wish they'd all go and die
(a cliff suicide!...)

It bothered me before...
But now they are far away...
Now that I've flown to higher ground...
This eagle's eyes...
Observing the tide, and in good time
I'll watch those lemmings drown!

Whatever these morons think - I don't care
They open mouths, and out comes lies, yeah
Whenever these morons speak, I'll beware
I'll beware...

~solo~

Win or lose.... 'least I've tossed the dice....
Stuck in their bland lives...

Whatever these morons think - I don't care
They open mouths - to criticize, bleah!
Whenever these morons speak, I'll beware
Just hot air...

do doo doo ...

I know this OS quite well; it was a big hit in the early 00s. however I know for a fact that it was recorded in 1999 which is why you used 90s. I can sorta relate to what you wrote here, so...I think you did a mighty good job on this parody.

Great job, Jack. Am I right in assuming you're looking for a new job or, did you get the other one you mentioned? Oh yeah, 555

"They open mouths - to criticize, bleah!" I know the feeling, I soon will be looking for work myself--peak is over at H&R Block, so although you seem to have fixed your situation. . .it's a realm so many of us are going through. . .Dead End Jobs--pun intended. . .good luck buddy.

Love it, Jack! It's also what I'm going through right now.....you have an aditional cliff for the lemmings over here? 5's
Adagio - February 21, 2007 - Report this comment
By 'here' I meant the lemmings in Tennessee, of course.

555! I completely relate! One moron at my place of business has been the inspiration for at least three of my parodies!

Belated thanks to Matthias, Jack, Eac, Alvin, Yoidy, Ann, AFW, Rick, Dave, Pat and Porkbeard. Pat: Cliffs of sufficient height are fairly rare here: I'm maybe 60' above sea level.

(Artistry) Evolutionary Theorist Oliver Curry from the London School of Economics says the human race will one day split into two separate species, an intelligent ruling elite and an underclass of dim-witted folks. Scott Adams has been saying the same thing in his Dilbert newsletters, and has formed Dogberts New Ruling Class to get a head start on the process.. And now your parody adds more evidence. Well done.

I thought the comparison of your co-workers to lemmings was a clever, and kinda cute in a way. Having lemmings jump off a cliff is kinda sick, but I still like it. Other than that... This didn't do too much for me. Sorry Jack. I know you said that this wasn't supposed to be funny, and.... well.... It was more clever than funny.

(Aritstry) It makes me think it's more of a good style-spoof of Incubus more than a funny parody of Incubus--like a Weird Al "style parody". The chorus was a great sub.

(Artistry) Lemmings! Although the song would sound wikkid comin' outta Foamy the Squirrel. Brilliant job, Ant!
Below Average Dave (badave.com) - November 08, 2007 - Report this comment
(Artistry) I think that this was very clever. Matthias, Lemmings jump off a cliff as part of their life cycle, but perhaps I misunderstood what you were saying;) Pacing was pretty spot on, it didn't strike me like most of yours do, but it has it's moments, I can relate to the sentiment though, and instead of "Funny", I used "Substance" to rate you.

Wow.... I learn so much on Amiright. I never knew Lemmings were suicidal. That's still sick....
