The Lyrics

The first time I submitted this song, I accidentally mis-pasted the top two lines from it's folder, and it's pacing was awful, hope this is far more fun! As always, check out badave.com for more from me!
Saw one night on the news
A nightmare come true
The girl spent too much time on her hair
Ken just didn't know
She liked G.I. Joe
Joe was the last one
He thought he'd see bare
Guess his muscles were nice
and She didn't think twice
That night that she touched his dog chain
And I wrote this tune
Said, Barbie, your days are through
Cause Ken's vows were not in vain

'Cause I saw Ken knock out Barbie
Threw her to the ground
and his fear chases his smile away
but he'll be ok
Now he's not big on separation
So he let it out to his friend, Stacey
Oh, I saw Ken sock out Barbie

Well, they kept going on
But it wouldn't be long
and then, that girl got so bored
Ken's package was slight
Not designed quite right
And he couldn't give her love no more
Hey she didn't mean
To sound like a queen
She just wanted action again
Well, he was in fright
the big orgy she's havin
That Ken wasn't in

Then I saw Ken impale Barbie
Took a big sword out
And then sliced all his fears away
He's not quite Okay
Neighbors watched their slaughtered faces
Joe came running out from Ken's basement
Oh, I saw Ken behead Barbie

Then Ken chased G.I. with sharpies
Yeah he marked him down
And the smear inked out his eyes that day
Joe'll be ok
Wasn't known as mad or angry
Think he lost his mind when she blew Chucky
Oh, that's when Ken had gone crazy

**CHORUS CROWD AND NEWS MEDIA SING ALONG**
Then we saw Ken behead Barbie
Took a big sword out
And then slice all his fears away
He's not quite Okay
Neighbors watch their slaughtered faces
Joe came running out from his basement
Oh, we saw Ken behead Barbie

Then Ken chased G.I. with sharpies
Yeah he marked him down
And the smear inked out his eyes that day
Joe'll be ok
Wasn't known as mad or angry
Think he lost his mind when she blew Chucky
Oh, that's when Ken had gone crazy

It's not like you to repeat the same two lines at the end that you did two lines before that, so voting wise I'll have to take off points for doing that. Another thing I'll have to take off points for this the lack of rhyming with "Separation", and "friend, Stacey", which should have had the rhyme, because it rhymes there in the original song. I like this better than the first post, because I can actually read it to the original song, and it was a great idea, but the execution wasn't as great as some of your parodies.

In reply to your comment, look at my Modern Major General, when a group repeats what an author says, I try to stay with the OS. . .part of the original song's charm was doing just that with the crowd at the end--so in that case. . .also graces and oasis were not perfect rhymes in the original, and they went by similar sound, which is what I did. . .still I do agree in the general comparison to my other parodies Matty, but for different reasons. . .those two particular examples were intentional

Sir Dave, ~ Le Marquis du Mattel Parody ~ anything about "Ken on Barbie" interests me. Kinda like Tony Romo & Jessica S. ??

She touched his dog chain?? Very frisky, Sir!

(K) The pacing is spot on, the rhymes in the choruses could have been better, but what you've got is funny, so it's a fair trade off. Re: the extra choruses, the backing track I had was a "short" version, with only 2 ending choruses instead of 4. There's also a version of this song with the second verse repeated, presumably for crowd sing along. With an OS like this, you can pretty much do whatever you want with it and still make a recording work (if you want it, send me a PM and I'll email it to you). Bottom line: A barbie and Ken slaughterfest is worth 5s in my book. =)

Never trust a G.I.. They'll jerk your chain everytime. Little known fact - G.I's fear sharpies, but for some strange reason have little or no fear of Kalishnikovs because they have a distinct sound when fired at you. Poor Barbie lost her head over a little head. This is hilarious. High Fives!

The above comment is for (ABC4-J) comps. I akways miss adding this to one of the parodies I comment on during comps for some reason and it is always a well done one that I forget to add the comp tags to.

(ABC4) This was another weird one coming from you. Violence, even amongst fashionably dressed dolls, is hard to make funny. I'm very surprised that you repeated the choruses.

(ABC) Doll-on-doll violence is a sadly overlooked crime in this country...but I still hate Barbies. Warped for sure, but I found it enjoyable.

ABC- This was friggin' hilarious, Dave. I always knew things weren't very blissful in Barbie's dream house. Very good job!

We at dolltattoos.com do not condone doll-on-doll violence. That is, of course, unless the other doll has it coming!
