Parody Song Title:

"Father of Crime"

Parody Written by:

Mike Armstrong

Dedicated to all those idiotic athletes, who get away with murder (no pun intended) in their lives, and overshadow those classy athletes who bring a good name to their sport. "Big Dog" is Glenn Robinson, a professional basketball player who was recently charged with assault.
Father of crime,
Tell me where have you been,
You know I just closed my eyes,
Some athlete disappeared,
Father of crime,
Take me back to the day,
Back before you placed your vicious plague,
Upon the NBA.

I remember Allen, Iverson's pleas
He pled not guilty, to all of those robberies,
Larry Johnson was in prison,
Derrick Coleman is in jail,
They placed all those policemen,
Right on the Big Dog's trail.

Uh,
Father of crime,
Tell me what's with the scene,
Why are all these criminals,
Still in the major leagues?
Father of crime,
Tell me what did you see,
When you heard that ol' Doc Gooden,
Committed grand larceny.

Thirty five years old,
Sellin' dope from a van,
Won't be easy for Nate Newton,
To serve that time in the can....
Some times he provided us,
With thrills in the game,
But I swear that Sprewell is,
Legally insane...

Their antics mess up the game,
Their antics mess up the game,
They need to walk away,
Their antics mess up the game,
They need to walk away,
Their antics mess up the game.

INTERLUDE

Their antics mess up the game
Their antics mess up the game
They need to walk away,
Their antics mess up the game
They need to walk away,
Their antics mess up the game...

Ya,
Ya,
Oh ya,
Uh,

Father of crime,
Tell me where have you been,
You know I just closed my eyes,
And some athlete disappeared.
Father of crime,
Tell me what's the big deal,
Why do all these millionaires,
Have to fight, mug, and steal?

They will never act smart,
They will never be sane,
There will always be those crazy guys,
Screwin up the great games,

They may all be grown men,
With 4 kids on the street,
But that won't make them eliminate,
Their foot long rap sheet....

They need to walk away,
Their antics mess up the game,
They need to walk away,
Their antics mess up the game,
They need to walk away,
Their antics mess up the game,
They need to walk away,
Their antics mess upt he game....

Ya,
Ya,
Oh ya.

It's amazing how much they get away with, isn't it? I thought this was a well done, funny parody.

I saw your post on the Everclear website, and I thought I'd check it out, I'm not a big sports fan, but I know that the pacing is good. I still thought it was funny though - good job.
