The Lyrics

A sanitation infestation in restaurants gone wrong…a nightmare for all diners, kitchen staff, and health inspectors. I actually got this idea when I saw “The Pied Piper” and when I read one of my old Nancy Drew Files books awhile back (Hidden Meanings) where I read the part of one of the victims finding dead rat in her linguine.
(Pop Intro)

Oh…

I stroll around all day downtown
Craved Italian, my stomach growls
I’d like some pasta, nice and filling
Waiter serves up food
Under silver platter tray
Strangely slim and white
From platter underway
Trailing, Trailing, Trailing
(Raiding, Raiding, Raiding)

Oh...no...no
A rat corpse lay out cold
Oh…eww…eww
Some chunks I’m gonna blow
(Gross)

I am feeling so queasy, heaving
All my lunch away
There’s a rodent on my pasta
Gotta rid of it one way
Rats in dining room they sneak
They had feast on goose en croute
A major rodent infestation
(So sick)
Gotta trap them on cue

There’s a rodent in my pasta, raiding
Skittering around the café, running
There’s a rodent in my pasta, traipsing
Come, come, come and get it out

Rat droppings trailing
Leading to kitchen floor
We skip bills as we flee to the door
Need to call someone
To maim them
Rats invading at the speed of light
Leaves kitchen staff
And diners scream with fright
Raving, Raving, Raving
(Ranting, Ranting, Ranting)

Oh…no…no
Saw a man grasping his throat
Oh…no…no
Looks like he is gonna choke

Saw a tail trail down his maw
Furry creature slipped from jaw
Choked on rodent from his pasta
Heimlich: help is on the way
Kitchen, pantry they would crawl
Diners’ orders they would gnaw
Call animal control yeah, traps creatures on cue

There’s a dead rat on my pasta, waiter
Gotta take my order away, maybe
Now there’s rodent on my pasta, waiter
Come, come, come and throw it out

There’s a cockroach on my pasta, waiter
I don’t want to eat anymore, please sir
(All the pests had grossed me out)
Don’t want rodents on my pasta, waiter
Don’t want to eat, I'll get out

Ew…ew…ew
Those cruel pests have got to go
Ew…ew…ew
Their answer won’t take no!

Diners’ plates they’ve gone to creep
Munching food that they would scrape
Rodents crawling their pasta
Dispose of all them right away
Food on pantry they had sneaked
(Ooh)
Acts committed, downright cruel
We gotta rid pest infestation, kill rodents on cue

Get rid of those rodent creeps
Lay mouse traps and boards of glue
Get those rodents out the café
Eradicate them right away
Call exterminator, please
They'll get rid of them for you
Go and kill those creeps, maybe, they'll lay off the food

No more rodents on my pasta, lately
Now it’s safe to just eat out

I remember the book that inspired this (although I preferred Encyclopedia Brown), and knew of someone who found a mouse in some fried chicken at Church's Chicken once. I also had to throw away a lot of my pasta and rice due to weevils recently. Love the parody, even though the OS isn't great, and 5s.

Effective parody--it made me nauseous! Reminds me of the time I found a cockroach cooked into the cheese of my nachos.

Waiter, there's a fly in my soup! "Wait until you see the main course, sir."

Very very strange and unusual. It reminds me of that Disney movie "Ratatouille". Great stuff here but remind me never go to and eat at this restaurant or at least not to order the pasta.
