The Lyrics

DKTOS? Well... I'm not surprised: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlfWoWHHRNA
I try to teach my class with a baking cookies lecture
They pay no attention, I scream and lose my dentures
These students are making me…

Nuts must next be added for a crunchy taste sensation
Though it’s the first day I can’t wait for a vacation
I don’t nearly get enough…

Dough you then flatten with a rolling pin
Turning on the oven, Preheat to begin
Destroyed cookies toss into trash bin

Tried to follow rules but dough’s dripping from their basins
Now Drew needs to see the nurse cause he’s allergic to raisins
This job is no piece of…

Cake we’re baking the next day in school
Black smoke pouring from our kitchen tool
These kids are dumber than Paula Abdul

They slice with knife make a mistake
Thumb’s on the tray and it’s not fake
Call down the nurse, perhaps a hearse
And bring band-aid to hold the shaven skin

Can’t I have teacher’s pet?
Nope, Here I have freaks
Make me work, make me sweat
Teach Frankenstein’s Creature
Home-Ec Teacher

Whip cream foam
Easy thing to make
But sure enough electric mixer
Makes Joan lose a leg

Oh dear me
Parent’s day is soon
Drew, Jimmy, and Joan’s adults will kill me at noon
That’s... It
Time… For Me… To Quit

I’m working at Burger King now
My teenaged helper’s such a fool
The grill caught Billy’s unibrow
It’s just like I am back in school…

I took a Home-Echh class in 7th grade for some reason. Made bland pretzels and mac & cheese, and learned how to properly make a place setting. Too bad I couldn't have had as much enthusiasm or acuity for algebra at the time. (good luck, Cat!)

(SOTM) There was 2 "Tarred & Feathered" parodies written last month (hehhe), but yours was the funnier one.

I had trouble following along with the original, and using an obscure song like this with a non-topical subject makes this parody pretty much pointless in my opinion. Also, comments like Jason's are one of the main reasons why forced commenting should either be more sensibly enforced or done away with completely.

(SOTM) there should be more home-ec parodies - love the school/tool/Abdul rhymes, and the nurse/hearse was another fave - 555

Excellent job having the verses lead into the next with lines like "These students are making me…//Nuts...". I liked the perspective of the teacher as well. The recipe is not quite complete though IMHO: the sacrificing of grammatically correct lines to get ones that scan perfectly (e.g. "Destroyed cookies toss into trash bin," "Can’t I have teacher’s pet?", "But sure enough electric mixer", etc. leaves some lumps in an otherwise beautiful batter. Given the OS and how it is sung, I don't think those lumps be major problems, so 5s all the same.

^WHS... I'd pretty much worked out what I was going to say, then read Red Ant's comment and can't be bothered to type it again :-)

SOTM - Listening to the OS was intense... crazy song. Pacing this to it was even harder, but you made it work pretty well.

(SOTM) You did a great job Matthias, but damn that OS is kinda out there. . .you have a VERY interesting taste in music buddy.

(SOTM) Major kudos for you for even attempting this insane OS....and I gotta say, you did a bang-up job with it. Never did home-ec at school but I can picture the scenario perfectly. 555

(SOTM) Heh! Even though the Pimp contest flopped like a pancake (hopefully not made in Home Ec!) you did a great job with that evil OS I gave ya! =P

SOTM- Yea, that OS is pretty out there. But you made it very funny. Great job, Matthias.
