The Lyrics

This is a story about a girl named Carrie..
In the showers, she looks down
blood, blood, blood on the floor
She's goes freaky, terrified
The girls all start to point and laugh
They go
"Isn't she Carrie, in her first period?"
And they say

[CHORUS:]
She's so creepy, she's retard
But she cry, cry, cries in her lonely heart, thinking
'If there's nothing wrong in my life
Then why is there blood coming out?'

Lost in a legend, in a dream
But her mother won't help her up
And the world is laughing, and she keeps on crying
But tell me what happens when she stops?
They go
"Isn't she Carrie, that retarded girl?"
And they say

She's so creepy, she's retard
But she cry, cry, cries in her lonely heart, thinking
'If there's no one, someone in my life
Then why did Tommy asked me out?'

"Prom Queen, and the winner isCarrie!"
"I'm Tommy Ross for Prom King outside the stage waiting for Carrie"
"Oh my godhere she comes!"

Isn't she Carrie, this new Prom Queen?
She is now happy, but why does she kill?
There's blood spilled on her, make the psychic mad
Then you will be tonight

She's so strong now, she killed her mom
But she cry, cry, cries in her lonely heart, thinking
'I destroyed the woman in my miserable life
Then why did my tears come tonight?'

Speaking as a decade policeman, I know that TOS was from the 00's. Speaking as myself, I enjoyed the concept of this parody, so you get a 555 vote from me.

I bet that Stephen King will roll all over the floor laughing at this parody if/when he reads it. You get my fives, buy the song came out in 2000.

Nice concept, but it lost its meaning. It sort of went from a 'first period' theme to some messed up muddle of killing her mother. Should have stuck with jokes like in my period parody:

Excuse Sir Ralphing, for he has obviously never seen 'Carrie'...IT'S OUTLINING THE PLOT, CUSTARD! Pacing issues but some nice worldplay - 454.

Hey, don't go yelling at me just because you're *incoherent under-breath mutterings*

The comment 'This is a story about a girl named Carrie' SO doesn't give the impression that the parody was inspired by a film, but rather a schoolfriend that no-one apart fro mthe author would know. So *raspberry* to you, Dame Mustard!

Well, that's assuming that the reader knows ANYTHING about Stephen King or retarded psycho killers. You're just embarassed because you totally tarred yourself in thinking this was a story about Carrie's First Period (although the aftermath is what would have convinced me, if anything).

Is this a tribute to the Stephen King novel? Or is it about Carrie Underwood from American Idol?

Hello? Anybody in there? Read the song carefully! It's Carrie from Stephen King!
Agrimorfee - March 28, 2005 - Report this comment
It was a good idea, for a song but Carrie White was no retard (unless I guess you were trying to explain how others perceived her...but it just sounds bad). I love Stephen King...do some more SK parodies (how 'bout some Dark Tower themes?)!
