This song is about not being able to afford gas prices.

When I went out, it was Friday night.
Everything seemed to be going right.
Then I saw the price, and I thought "Pay? I can't."
I tried to pump and drive away.
And that's the time that they walked up to me.
But you can't afford this when you're 23.
And have a job that doesn't pay enough .
I don't know what's wrong with me.
They said I had to pay for it,
But what's that price again?!

Later on, I rode my bike home.
I called my mom on my cell phone.
I said "I need a ride."
And I then I think I fell.
Biking that far's too much on me!!!!
And that's about the time that I just couldn't breathe.
'Cause I've got asthma and it's killing me.
We need the price of gas to fall.
I would pay that stupid price today.
But what's that price again?!

And that's about the time that I just rode the bus.
I get so mad 'cause they steal dough from us.
Guess we'll just stay home, sit on my couch, and whine.
I'll tell you what is wrong with me.
