The Lyrics

I used to sing this song in lieu of a route announcement when I was a bus driver for ASUCD Unitrans at UC Davis. If I timed it right, I could start singing this song over the PA just as I was leaving the station and end right at the bus stop. I'd usually hold the last lyric for about a minute. I've got amazing lungs...

Rite Aid.
And Gottschalk's
Tea House
And Starbucks
The dorms, and much more
At Russell and Sycamore.

Let's eat
At the Subway
Or Maybe
At the O.C D. C.
But that would cost more
At Russell and Sycamore

Tell me where
It's just up ahead now
Tell me when
In just a few seconds
Tell me how
Just pull on that yellow cord
For Russell and Sycamore

I am your driver
Please don't Saliver (sic)
On the seats
They're hard to clean
At Russell and Sycamore.

Tell me where
It's just up ahead now
Tell me when
In just a few seconds
Tell me how
Just pull on that yellow cord
For Russell and Sycamore

As I get to your stop you will clamor to get off
I know you have to places to be, yeah
But if you cross that line before I've come to a full stop
It's through the windshield you'll be!

This is your stop here
I'll let you off here
There's more
(Riders, riders, riders)

Bus pass so show it right away
Sit down before I drive away
We're only two blocks away
From where I started

You couldn't bike? (It's only fifty feet now)
Don't have a bike? (This bus smells like feet now)
Tell me why (Y'all wanna ride the bus here)
At Russell and Sycamore

At Russell and Sycamore........
More stuff will come eventually, and will probably also show up on My MySpace

Pacing's a bit off but cute! Wish the bus drivers were that creative.
