Spaff.com your the bomb! Liked how you inclued the episodes. Yeah, figure that ~ the irony! the Island was constantly visited , but some how the Cataways could never get off the Island. The show was campy as hell, and raised a few eyebrows in the 60's. Now, 35 years later my kids know every single episode. Classic, man classic!

Thanks, Jon & Pat & Sync & Leb & Jeff. Wild: You're right - the castaways (and therefore the viewers) were stuck in dystopia. (There! I got to use my new word!) Billy: I'm not talking about cheap made-for-TV crap. I'm talking about big-budget Hollywood crap. I mean, who wouldn't pay to see something like "Gilligan's Island: Full Throttle"?

nice. very nice. i love how instead of just making fun of the island situation and the same old things (all the clothes, etc..) like so many other people do....you actually know your stuff. including specific episodes and visitors made it all the better. and yes....i've often wondered why there aren't conventions like star trek. we so deserve them. lol

Thanks, Julie. I'm all for a Gilligan convention, as long as it's on a desert isle and I get to play Thurston, the guy with all the clothes - and all the brandy. I figure he and Lovey were swingers back on the mainland, and that the island seriously cramped their "lifestyle." Just a theory.
