This pardody deals with the ambivalent feelings a donor card holder might feel. Many people wont sign up to be organ donors because they don't want to think about it. They think that getting a donor card is a self imposed death decree. But I think donor card holders are heros in the taking. We must remember that our nation's highways take more lives than the war in Iraq. How many people would like to give to the team of doctors working on a heart patient? Not many takers I'm sure. But for the few givers out there: someone, someday might appreciate your livers. Am I Right?

545 Loved the title and some excellent lines. I think tales of people having their organs used when they might possibly not be dead/brain dead for sure is another reason why some are not so keen.....
Excellent piece, Lionel...well-written and well-said. And is there a more valuable and yet less difficult thing to do than to taking the time to register for organ donation? In CA you can do it on your Driver's License with a little colored dot...I've had one on mine for many years now...if they can use any parts of me when I'm done with them to help someone else they are welcome to them. 5's across here ~ ~ ~
